Comedy: Cabaret Chameleon

West End star Sarah-Louise Young delivers award-winning character comedy and sparkling original songs, with bitingly funny stories and lightning-quick changes.

From tortured French chanteuse La Poule Plombée to washed-up lounge crooner Bernie St Clair, the fantastic creations in Cabaret Chameleon combine to offer sassy and often saucy entertainment that has delighted audiences across the globe from Edinburgh to London, New York to Berlin and at the prestigious Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Sarah-Louise is a writer, performer and director who has appeared in the West End with Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, Fascinating Aida, Julie Madly Deeply and La Soirée. Her character comedy shows have toured internationally and she has won several awards, including best cabaret act at The London Cabaret Awards and The Stage Award for acting.

She has numerous theatre and television credits and is one half of writing and performing partnership Roulston & Young, with whom she is currently writing a musical.

Cabaret Chameleon is an exciting opportunity for the Rosehill Theatre audience to experience characters from a unique selection of internationally successful shows which have garnered rave reviews.

A pre-performance supper of a bowl of mouthwatering gumbo (Louisiana stew) with ice cream for dessert is available as a food and ticket package for this evening. It's so good you'll find it hard to resist!

REVIEWS
"Warm-hearted, hilarious from start to finish... sharp, clever, observational gold"

★★★★★ Broadway Baby

"The care and detail of each character, vocal qualities, comedic timing and set-up is successfully portrayed with side-splitting results"
★★★★★ The Curtain Up Show

"The pipes and range on this belter of a performer are astounding. Her vocal talent, stage presence and characters need a bigger stage than the Fringe"
★★★★ Across The Arts

"The accents are spot on, the singing is faultless and the brilliantly observed one-liners had the audience (standing room only) unashamedly chuckling throughout... one of the Fringe's finest musical comedies"
The Stage

"Polished to perfection. Young's mastery of the genre is up there with the best and it is a real treat to be offered a show that is so distinctly original"
★★★★ Jonathan Baz - My Theatre Mates

"Young's big musical theatre voice has the power to bring each character to a different vocal nuance and her acting ability imbues each with impeccable and complex identities. Young is a class act and scarily believable in all incarnations"
