Music: Tastings, Tunes and Tales

Enjoy an evening of tastings hosted by The Lakes Distillery, complemented by whisky-themed music and stories from Steve Wharton, in Messel's Bar at Rosehill.

We're delighted to welcome The Lakes Distillery on Saturday 7 March at 6.30pm when they will present five of their products for tasting, demonstrating their ‘perfect serve’ and making them into delicious aperitifs/cocktails for you to enjoy.

These will be made, poured and explained by a member of their team and you'll also be able to hear about the fascinating history of the award-winning distillery, which is nestled on the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake and offers a range of fine whiskies, gins, vodkas and liqueurs.

Steve-Wharton2

To complement the drinks, folk singer and storyteller Steve Wharton will present tunes and tales themed around whisky and distilling. Steve proved popular when he performed at Rosehill last summer as part of the folk group Herdus - and if his previous appearances are anything to go by, there'll be plenty of opportunities to join in!

Tickets for our evening of tastings and music are £10. Arrival from 6.30pm, ‘perfect serve’ tastings from 7pm, music from 8pm.

*This event will take place in Messel's Bar. If you wish to dine in advance of your tastings, The Green Room restaurant is open all day from 12pm.

Pre-paid dining is available at £25 for three courses and £22 for two and can be booked together with your event ticket online or via the box office on 01946 692422. If ordering online, please state your preferred time for dining in the booking notes field and we will contact you to confirm your reservation.
