Inaugural Harbour Fest is a hit
We're delighted that the first-ever Harbour Fest organised by Rosehill and Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners was a hit with all ages!
Our team loved seeing so many happy faces enjoying the free family fun throughout the day.
The festival featured live promenade performances, music, arts, crafts and more, all situated on the harbourside in Whitehaven and celebrating the local creative community.
And the star of the show was arguably the Cumbrian premiere of the magnificent #OutOfTheDeepBlue by Autin Dance Theatre, featuring a 13ft world-class sea puppet, Eko, which went down a storm!
Thank you to all who took part, from performers and stallholders to volunteers and stewards, as well as the teams involved in setting up and taking down. We couldn't have done it without them!
We would love to acknowledge everyone individually but there just isn't room. However, the biggest thank you must go to Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, who were a brilliant partner in this inaugural festival - hopefully the first of many!
Copeland Borough Council provided the gazebos for the stallholders and Whitehaven Town Council sponsored the sand artist, while Tiny Wild Fox and oh my days promotions worked hard to help us deliver an amazing creative programme for all generations to enjoy.
There was so much going on that it's been hard to pick just a few of the fantastic photos by Tom Kay Photographic, but we've had a go! We hope you like what we've chosen.
