Update on theatre and restaurant closure

Rosehill Theatre and The Green Room restaurant remain closed but plans are developing for staff and customers to return safely - and our first two exciting new projects are about to get under way.

We're delighted to announce The Green Room to go will launch next week. Our two-course menu will be available to order online between Monday and Wednesday and will then be prepared and cooked by our chefs and packaged for you to collect on your choice of Friday or Saturday, complete with instructions for you to heat, as necessary, and serve at home. The menu will change regularly and in time we hope it will expand. Enjoy our food in your home, at your convenience, or perhaps treat someone special.

Steve-Wharton-carpark

Also next week we'll begin drive-in performances featuring our good friend Steve Wharton, a Cumbrian storyteller and musician. Join us for 30 minutes of family fun at the weekend as Steve performs in the car park while you watch from the comfort of your vehicle, with the sound broadcast to your FM radio!

Details of both projects, including booking information, will be added to our website and posted on social media early next week so please check back for updates.

We're exploring a number of other new ways to reach our audiences. For example, once guidelines allow us to do so we're looking to present concerts in the auditorium to a distanced audience that will be recorded and streamed over the internet for people to watch at home. Digital technology has made it more possible than ever to connect with audiences in a different way and we're also looking at how we can make our performances available to schools, hospitals and care homes if possible.

In addition, we want to hear about people's experiences of the pandemic and are developing a community storytelling project.

We are also implementing important measures to keep everyone safe.

These are all new ways of working. We're focusing on the future and learning as we go along and we hope you will continue to support us on this journey.

Our box office has not yet reopened but if you have any questions or comments, please email at the link below or call 01946 692422.
