How long have you volunteered for Rosehill? Since October 2019
Why did you decide to become a volunteer? I thought it would be good work experience. I'm interested in theatre.
What are your main responsibilities? Meet and greet customers, directing them to their seats, collecting glasses and making sure the theatre is clean and safe, plus more!
What do you enjoy most about the role? I love all of it but volunteering has given me a great opportunity to see some amazing performances.
Share with us a memorable experience since you've volunteered for Rosehill I've had many but I thought Rosehill Players' production of Le Grand Return, about three men who 'escaped' from a care home to attend a war commemoration in France, was amazing. It was incredibly well acted and very moving.
I also loved opera singer Lesley Garrett with pianist Anna Tilbrook (both pictured here with Stan). Lesley was a great raconteur and entertainer. This was my last show before lockdown.
What do you do in your free time? I love gaming and binge watching TV series.
What does Rosehill mean to you? It's got a great atmosphere. It has an amazing range of entertainment. All the staff and other volunteers are really nice and friendly. They showed me the ropes and were really helpful. I soon felt part of the Rosehill family.
What would you say to anyone who is interested in volunteering? Go for it. It's a great experience and you get the chance to see world-class shows.
