Comedy: Rosehill's Comedy Club 2020 - February

Rosehill's Comedy Club returns on Friday 7 February for another evening of gags and witty retorts.

Don't miss Rosehill's Comedy Club's first 2020 date, with four more acclaimed comedians from the national circuit waiting in the wings to entertain you.

Compère will be Kieran Lawless, an Irish comedian now based in Manchester, who has worked in comedy clubs across Ireland and UK, including supporting Patrick Kielty in Dublin's Olympia Theatre. He has appeared on RTE television twice as a stand-up and has scooped a number of New Comedian awards.

The evening's line-up also includes Adele Cliff, a comedian known for her puns and one-liners who has performed numerous stand-up gigs around the UK and has two Edinburgh Festival Fringes under her belt. She spent several months in the States, where she trained in improv and comedy writing at the world-renowned Second City Training Centre in Chicago, as well as gigging extensively in Chicago and New York City.

I find her really annoying to watch, as I'm constantly kicking myself for not having thought of those gags first

Next up is Janis Haves. After a career of over 15 years as a professional musician, singer-songwriter Janis is now an award-winning comedian. New Act winner for Oyoy comedy and "tipped to watch" by Funny Women, she can be seen performing all over the UK in clubs and at festivals doing stand-up and her unique brand of musical comedy.

Last but not least is multi-award-winning Welsh comedian Matt Rees, who has generated a huge buzz on the circuit over the past few years with his unique brand of well-crafted gags and acerbic delivery, earning him high praise from audiences and critics alike. He made his hotly anticipated solo show debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018 with Happy Hour, a humorous approach to his alcoholism and his everyday life, and has provided tour support for the likes of Joe Lycett, John Robins, Elis James, Patrick Kielty and Tig Notaro.
