Music: Kate Dimbleby - Sing Happy

Celebrated singer and performer Kate Dimbleby presents her new one-woman show Sing Happy, as part of Rosehill's "stage supper and song" series.

Created with award-winning comedy director, writer and performer Cal McCrystal, the show will have you laughing and singing along as Kate weaves classic songs from the past 60 years with layered vocals from her critically acclaimed album Songbirds and stories about the human voice.

Sing Happy features songs you will know and songs you won’t, Kate's vocal looper, a bit of the 1950s, a bit of the 1980s, a bit of the 2010s… and a bit of all of us!

Each of her shows is a little different – inspired by the audience. If you can hum, you can sing… the music of life! Come and be entertained and inspired.

See the trailer for Sing Happy here.

Alongside Kate's performance, The Green Room team will serve a two-course buffet with the audience seated at tables on stage in Rosehill's Grade II listed auditorium. The menu comprises beef and ale pie or vegetarian cottage pie, followed by fruit salad.

Reviews

An all round feelgood show... Kate reprises and experiments with classic songs from the 50s, 80s and 2000s, as well as a few beautiful originals... guaranteed to make you laugh and sing along ★★★★

Fascinating... beautiful... utterly unique
Clare Teal, BBC Radio 2

Strong, life affirming... subtle and poetic
The Sunday Times - Album of the Week

At 43, Dimbleby steps outside the voices of the singers she has paid tribute to and finds a voice of her own, crystalline and credible... and it's riveting
