Theatre: Reasons You Should(n’t) Love Me

Winner of The Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2020, Amy Trigg’s remarkable debut play Reasons You Should(n’t) Love Me is a hilarious, heart-warming tale about how shit our wonderful lives can be.

For a long time I didn’t know how it’d work.
Or what I’d be able to feel.
People would ask me if I could have sex and I’d feign shock and act wildly offended whilst secretly wanting to grab them by the shoulders and be like “I don’t know, Janet!”

Juno was born with spina bifida and is now clumsily navigating her twenties amidst street healers, love, loneliness – and the feeling of being an unfinished project.

What is Pay What You Decide?

PWYD is a pricing strategy designed to encourage new audiences to try new work. It requires audiences to book in advance, but voluntarily pay an amount determined by them after the show, based on their experience.

With PWYD, customers can book their place in advance then decide after the show what they think it is worth – therefore removing the risk of paying for something they might not enjoy.

PWYD tackles both affordability and risk, two of the greatest barriers to people attending new work.

For this particular performance the suggested contribution per ticket is £15 but this is entirely voluntary. Please choose to pay what you can afford.

Please book online where possible. If you have difficulty with our website, call 01946 692422 and leave a message for us to respond as soon as we can.
