Theatre: Whitehaven Theatre Group - It Runs in the Family

Expect laughs galore when Whitehaven Theatre Goup takes to the Rosehill stage with It Runs in the Family.

Comedy genius Ray Cooney, who was responsible for the society's 2017 production Funny Money, has written another must-see hilarious play. This time it's set in a hospital and features a lot of people running in and out of doors, mistaking everyone for someone else!

If you are a leading surgeon in London's most prestigious hospital and are delivering the "lecture of the year" to an international conference of top physicians, the last thing you want is a distraught ex from 20 years ago turning up. Dr Mortimer can cope with that - but he's gobsmacked when his ex reveals the result of their past union was a baby boy who is now a strapping 16-year-old and waiting outside to be introduced. A faithful friend is called on to help and typical Cooney complications ensue.

Whitehaven Theatre Group was formed in 1970 and members range from all ages, with several NODA North West Awards nominations to their name. Don't miss their latest amusing offering at Rosehill Theatre!
