The Together Tent is a new kind of family arts programme in development at Rosehill.
The programme is about bringing the entire family together into a space that feels supportive and nourishing. We want to share our ethos and ideas with artists, family workers, teachers, playworkers, nursery practitioners, and anyone else who works in a family setting.
Join us at Rosehill for a day of sharing, creating and learning, as we unpick the ideas behind the Together Tent.
If you are curious about what an intergenerational creative space could look like, and you want to build that into your practice, share your wisdom or try something new, then this day is for you.
The day will combine talking, listening and doing as we play with ideas behind the project. These ideas don’t just exist as concepts though: We will be putting some of them into practice, including transforming a part of the Rosehill building into a giant den, using tools and techniques introduced by RagTag Arts.
Over the rest of the day, we will furnish this den with our discussions, as well as decorations made while we talk, under the supervision of Cumbrian family artist, Hannah Fox.
We will release more information about the programme soon.
Accessibility: If you are interested in attending, and would like to bring your child/ren, please let us know as much information about them as you can. Access is a priority for us: We will provide professional support workers and supplementary activities such as lego and colouring. If you need help with transport, let us know. If you have other access requirements not mentioned here, please let us know how we can best accommodate you.
There will be a complementary buffet meal provided.
There is step-free access to all parts of the venue and a designated quiet area. The event staff do not expect anyone to keep still, suppress ticks or mask in any way that may be taxing or exhausting.
