Join us for "Play in a Day," a unique celebration of our vibrant performance communities. Forming a part of our West Coast Current Theatre Week, you will be challenged to collaborate in small groups to devise and perform a play in a day.

How it will work

  • Each group will receive a basic scene outline, as well as a bag of goodies, to inspire their own narrative.

  • Groups will be supported by theatre practitioners Hannah and Imogen to devise their scene.

  • The final part of the day will be a performance of each scene, to build a joyful, and very possibly hilarious, show.

  • This show will be open to friends and family.

Come and let your creativity run wild as we build a story together, one scene at a time. Grab your spot now and be part of a fun, hands-on day filled with performance, imagination, and community!

Housekeeping

  • This event is open to all aged 16+. 14–16-year-olds must be accompanied by a participating adult.

  • Bring your own lunches, but pizza will be provided at 5pm.

  • The sharing will be free for your friends to attend, but we will need to know numbers in advance.

  • The 6pm sharing performance is free for family and friends but will need to book in advance.
