VRi music workshop

Presented in collaboration with Kirkgate Arts and Heritage, Cockermouth, and Arts Out West.

Critically acclaimed chamber-folk trio VRi comprise three young Welsh musicians who are pushing the boundaries of their art.

In this workshop on Saturday 3 June, alongside music performed live you will hear all about the inspiration behind VRi's music, as the trio talk about the heritage of their craft, mined from past centuries when traditional music in Wales was suppressed by the Methodist revival and when folk music, along with dancing and drinking, were frowned upon and instruments were hidden under floorboards.
