Reopening after lockdown
We're reopening Rosehill's doors, just in time for Christmas! We are delighted to launch our festive programme of performances and films in the auditorium, with the first events taking place on the weekend of 11 December.
There's something for all the family at Rosehill Picture House, starting on Friday 11 December.
Up first is a recorded concert by classical music superstar Katherine Jenkins at the Royal Albert Hall, followed by a modern remake of the classic family film The Secret Garden, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
There are also two versions of the festive ballet The Nutcracker - one from The Royal Ballet and the other from the Bolshoi - and The Met Opera's production of Mozart's The Magic Flute.
Our first live theatre performance with an audience in the auditorium is courtesy of our good friends Oddsocks Productions, who will present a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol, featuring the company's usual irreverent humour, magical puppets and original music.
Regular Oddsocks actor Joseph Maudsley plays Bob Cratchit and Harrie Dobby, who is new to Oddsocks, is Mrs Cratchit, while Oddsocks artistic director Andy Barrow will don his bedcap and perfect his scowl to play Scrooge himself in this hour-long, socially distanced, unique production.
Oddsocks made their long-awaited return to the Rosehill stage last year with their fun, family production of The Adventures of Pinocchio. We can't wait to welcome them back!
Click here to view our latest What's On listings. Please book online where possible as our box office is currently limited to opening around one hour before the first performance on each day. If you prefer to book by phone, call 01946 692422 and leave a message if we are unable to answer. We will respond quickly.
We've been working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is in place to keep our visitors and staff safe, responding to the latest guidelines and making a number of changes to how we work. You can read more about those changes here.
We're excited to launch our programme of events in the theatre after many months and we look forward to welcoming everyone back safely.
